I call my dogs 'the Minister's children'. All dogs have their own personalities and foibles. Some people are blessed with easy dogs, and others of us...well I think our dogs come to us for a reason. I've got one that digs and then guards holes and likes to jump up onto the kitchen table (only when company comes to dinner) The other is a notorious poop eater and barker. We have a lot of deer in the neighborhood who pass by at about 4 a.m. Thanks to Bella, we know when the deer are out....and so do the neighbors! Luckily I have a lot of dog lovin' friends! I know that our companion animals live much shorter lives than we do, but for someone (ahem) pushing an age close to Sammy's, I feel like someone about 20 years younger.
